Hosein Gourchian

Born 1984 Tehran, Iran
lives and works in Tehran, Iran

Hosein Gouchian began working as a sound man at the age of fifteen, and ventured out on his own and began working independently, at the age of twenty. Through out the years he has worked with some of Iran's top internationally known directors. Some of them include; Mohsen Makhmalbaf, Abbas Kiarostami, Sedigeh Barmak, Abolfazl Jalili and many, many more, as Hosien has worked on 10 feature films, and over 100 short, and documentary films. One of the most successful films that Hosein has worked on most recently is, Khab-e Talkh by director Mohsen Amir youssefi which won the Golden Camera - Special Mention, at Cannes Film Festival in 2004.

Currently Hosein Gourchian happily resides and works in Tehran Iran. And is focused on experimental works, and discovering and bring about, new ways to approach film, photography and sound.
