Susan Hefuna
Born to a German-Egyptian couple in 1962, Susan Hefuna grew up between Egypt and Germany. As an artist of dual heritage, Hefuna’s work reflects her experience in between two cultures and emphasizes the transitions of culture-specific codes and stereotypes, as well as the perception of women in European and Arab societies.
