Talk Less Work More
Directed by: Srestha Premnath, Jesal Kapadia
United States / 2008 / 10 mins / Video
In "Talk Less Work More" Jesal Kapadia and Sreshta Premnath re-enact an interview by an American journalist with India's first woman Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. This interview was held at the end of her first term in office. The title of this video is taken from the slogan, 'Talk Less Work More' which was commonly used during the 19 month political emergency enforced by her (1975-77). The re(inter)view is shot from an apartment window overlooking Ground Zero, capturing the sunset as seen between the surrounding buildings, filling the gap where the towers once stood.
